PETAL IN THE BREEZE

The nearest way to describe the way she felt as she was 'moved' across the road was that she was 'floating'.

Powerless to resist, not that Millie particularily wanted to, she felt like a petal in the breeze ... gently and pleasantly moving in a pre-determined direction.

She reached the entrance to the nightclub and found herself at the front of the queue, she could hear the thump of the music inside, she could hear the bouncer arguing with a group of drunk lads, she could smell the beer and garlic on their collective breaths. However, she was suddenly aware that they were oblivious to her ... it was like she was in a dream, but unlike a dream everything and everyone was completely true to life.

She made her way into the entrance and down the cleverly lit darkened stairway to the large room below, the music increasing in volume and intensity as she descended.

The inside of the nightclub was impressive and Millie smiled to herself, it looked fun, she liked it.

Chrome, black leather and purple lighting abounded ... the people inside, young, sexy the majority of them dressed in the Gothex theme.

She started to focus on people, faces ... she saw the sweat on the brow of a young woman dancing wildly on a table ... she admired the glistening torso of a muscular man on the dancefloor.

As she looked around she saw four familiar ladies dancing together. She felt herself being moved towards them.

I know them, she said to herself.

The crownd seemed to part and before she knew it she was next to them.

Millie felt her heart beat faster and heard herself take a sharp intake of breath ... of course she knew who it was ... it was Helen, Amanda, Cassie .... and finally she realised that she was looking at herself ... she was looking at herself danicing away with her friends.
